CGR stands for Certified Graduate Remodeler which is an advanced professional designation designed to emphasize management skills, experience, industry education, practical knowledge and ethics standards. To earn the CGR designation, a remodeler must meet nationally defined criteria for previous experience, adhere to prescribed business standards, and engage in continuing education. When remodelers demonstrate a commitment to the industry, they also prove their concern for customers. When you hire a CGR, you can expect an experienced professional dedicated to quality and professionalism. Of the thousands of remodelers in RI and nearby MA, only 5 have earned the CGR designation. |

A CAPS certification stands for Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist
and is earned through the National Association of Home Builders.
This is the only national program that teaches remodelers the unique
home modification skills to help those who wish to “age in
place” or continue living safely, independently and comfortably
in their homes regardless of age or ability level. CAPS education
includes design ideas, technical solutions, and even sensitivity
training. Graduates must also complete continuing education and
community service requirements to maintain their status as a Certified
Aging-in-Place

CGP stands for Certified Green Professional and is a designation earned through the National Association of Home Builders. The Certified Green Professional designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction. Education leading to the designation provides a solid background for incorporation of environmental considerations into every phase of home remodeling including design, construction and ongoing operation of the home through attention to energy and water efficiency, building design and materials, indoor environmental quality, and the home's overall impact on the environment. |
